Canmore Rotary House

 

Canmore Rotary House is a joint project of the Rotary Club of Canmore and the Calgary SCOPE Society. Canmore Rotary House is a two-bedroom condominium with wheel chair access and barrier-free design. It is centrally located in Canmore and can accommodate up to seven guests. Its purpose is to provide short-term emergency and pre-booked accommodation to eligible individuals and families. Accommodation is provided free of charge, when this need has been established by local social service agencies.

 

Examples of individuals and families who may be eligible to use Canmore Rotary House for short-term emergency accommodation (up to four nights) include:

          Victims of crime and/or trauma and their families,

          Visitors to the Bow Valley whose stay is interrupted by occurrences  such as a sudden death, a serious accident or a motor vehicle collision,

          Individuals fleeing abusive relationships, and

          Individuals not impaired by drugs or alcohol or deemed unlikely to abuse drugs or alcohol while at the facility.
