The Needs of Aging
Feb. 27, 2019
In 20 years, people over 50 years of age will increase by 55%....people under 50 will increase only 1.5%. Karl's talk will describe how people over 50 develop psychological and emotional needs to replace losses they incur in the second half of life. These people must balance their lives with purpose to thrive and not just survive. “Do more, play more, live more……Canmore!” |

For 10 years now, the Rotary Club of Canmore has actively supported the Canadian Rockies Regional Science Fair with both funding and enthusiastic volunteers! Last year we had over 40 Rotarians, friends, neighbours and work colleagues show up to make the Fair a huge success.
Can you help this year? If so, please reserve the morning of Tuesday March 26th for this worthwhile event. The Fair will be held in Banff at the Banff Elementary School (BES) from 08:30 am to 2:20 pm. Over 100 students in Grades 4 through 8 will assemble at BES to have their projects judged. As some of you already know, this is a very rewarding volunteer opportunity: it's only half a day, you don't need any prior judging experience (or even a science background!) and everything you need to know to be a judge is provided before the event begins. And if you want to help with the Fair in other ways, we even have a few other volunteer positions available that don't involve judging science projects at all.
