Community Projects
The Rotary Club of Canmore Community Avenue of Service supports local, worthy charitable projects that address community needs, promote well-being and foster positive change.
The Committee is comprised of three main areas of focus: Community Grants, Canada Day Pancake Breakfast and the Canada Day Parade.
The primary source of funds are two major fundraisers the Festival of Trees | Rotary Club of Canmore held in December and the Golf Charity Classic | Rotary Club of Canmore held in June. In 2025 a third major fundraiser was added The Rocky Mountain Golf Getaway Raffle.

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast
July 1st (9:00am – 11:00am)
Join us at the annual Canada Day Pancake Breakfast!
The Rotary Club of Canmore in partnership with the Town of Canmore and the MD of Bighorn host the famous annual pancake breakfast at Centennial Park. This much anticipated community event draws over 2,000 visitors each year to celebrate Canada Day with delicious food and western hospitality.
Music plays, the Calgary Stampede Caravan griddles are fired up and a free hearty breakfast is served, consisting of pancakes, sausages and bacon, topped off with Canadian Maple Syrup and accompanied with coffee and juices.
This breakfast isn’t just about food—it’s a chance for the community to come together, connect with neighbours, and celebrate local culture. It also serves as a key fundraising event, helping to raise awareness and donations for important community initiatives supported by the Rotary Club.
